Why the Bulin 47 video blew up

A speaker, a stranger, a red-lit doorway at three in the morning, and a week later the whole internet was remaking it with AI.

Bulin47Viral📌 In one breath

It went viral because it is short, joyful and unplanned: on 2 October 2026 Colombian creator Kevin Wai walked up to Dominican dembow artist Bulin 47 outside a restaurant in Madrid with a speaker playing, and Bulin 47 freestyled into the phone, then cracked up while Kevin sang. A single steady camera and one performer made it ideal for AI face swaps, which started around 6 October; the song "Dame Hombro" followed on 8 October and kept it in every feed.

The two people in the clip

The rapper

Bulin 47

Hancel Teodoro Vargas Reynoso, a Dominican dembow artist known for tracks like "7 Pollos" and "Me La Sube". In the clip: pink shirt, dark sunglasses. Real name, age and career.

The speaker guy

Kevin Wai

A Colombian creator, also called Kevincito, who approaches strangers with a portable speaker. He posts on TikTok as @kevincitooficial11. More on Kevin Wai.

How it spread, day by day

  1. 2 Oct

Both post the freestyle on TikTok, 24 minutes apart: Bulin 47 around 03:03 and Kevin Wai at 03:27 Madrid time (the post IDs carry the upload time).

  2. 6 Oct

The first AI versions appear, with other faces rapping in the pink shirt.

  3. 8 Oct

"Dame Hombro", the studio song built on the moment, gets its official video on the Bulin 47 Oficial YouTube channel.

  4. 9 to 11 Oct

Dominican and Spanish media cover the trend; footballers, actors and politicians appear in AI versions.

  5. 12 Oct

SNRTnews reports more than 80 million views in a week. Kevin Wai's own post shows about 5.6 million views.

Why it was so easy to remix

  • 01

    One camera, one move

The phone barely moves and only one person is facing it, which is the easiest setup for AI to copy.

  • 02

    A built-in punchline

The lean toward the speaker and the laugh land at second seven, giving every remix its joke.

  • 03

    Any face fits

The beat and the grin work with a footballer, a painting or a polar bear.

  • 04

    A song kept it alive

The release of "Dame Hombro" six days later pushed the clip back into feeds right as AI versions peaked.

Real or AI? How to tell

Many versions in your feed are AI. These signs give them away:

  • 1The face is someone famous but the body, shirt and crowd are identical to the original.
  • 2Teeth, rings or sunglasses shimmer or change shape between frames.
  • 3The mouth keeps moving in the seconds when only the speaker fan is singing.
  • 4Background faces wobble or melt for a frame.
  • 5The creator added an "AI-generated" label (TikTok and Instagram both have one).
